In this article, we look at how you can:

  • Lock seats so they can not be sold anywhere.
  • Reserve seats so that they can only be sold in the admin app or via the admin sales tab in the backend.
  • Unlock seats that are locked in one of the above ways

Lock seats

These are seats that are not available to purchase in any sales channel. This function should therefore be used to lock seats that are not in use or which are not to be sold in any way.

  1. Go to the relevant event.
  2. Go to the seating arrangement tab.
  3. Select the relevant section (if you have multiple sections) and then the seats you want to lock.
  4. Select Ticket Type and assign it as Locked.
  5. Touch Seat State and then reserved.
  6. Touch Save.

Reserved seats

Assigning a seat as reserved means they can only be sold through our organiser app (POS) or retrieved from the admin sales tab in the admin pages. These can be used to hold off seats that you know may sell as sponsorship tickets or if you are going to block seats for guests that are going to turn up and pay on the door.

  1. Go to the relevant event.
  2. Go to the Seating Arrangement tab.
  3. Select the relevant section (if you have multiple sections) and then the seats you want to reserve.
  4. Touch Ticket Type and set it to Default.
  5. Touch Seat Status and then Reserved
  6. Touch Save.

How to unlock a seat

If you have locked or reserved a seat, it may of course be necessary to unlock it.

  1. Go to the relevant event.
  2. Go to the Seating Arrangement tab.
  3. Select the relevant section (if you have multiple sections) and then the seats you want to unlock.
  4. Touch Ticket Type and set it to Default.
  5. Touch Seat status and select available.
  6. Touch Save.
