TicketCo GDPR Compliance
Our Commitment
At TicketCo, we are committed to full compliance with relevant data protection requirements, and we take all matters relating to the processing of personal data very seriously. In particular, we:
- ensure suitable data processing agreements are in place with third parties containing the appropriate provisions as required by data protection laws;
- ensure sub-processors we engage take steps to comply with data protection requirements; and
- implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
This dedication to data privacy and security underscores TicketCo’s commitment to providing a trustworthy and effective platform for event management, empowering organisers by safeguarding their data rights and enhancing their ability to utilise customer data for business growth.
As a growing business we keep our data privacy compliance regime constantly under review, particularly as our platform and services grow and develop. We will continue to take all necessary steps towards ensuring compliance with all relevant data protection requirements which apply to our business now and in the future.
What is the difference between a Data Processor and a Data Controller?
Data Controller
Data controllers are entities that determine the purposes, means and lawful basis of processing personal data. They are ultimately responsible and accountable for ensuring that data processing activities comply with data protection laws, including in relation to the handling of data subject rights requests, and providing data subjects with information on how their data is being processed.
Data Processors
Data processors are entities that process personal data on behalf of data controllers. They must follow the instructions of the data controller and fulfil certain key obligations – e.g. keeping personal data secure.
TicketCo as a Data Processor
TicketCo is a data processor on behalf of event organisers. We do not handle the data for our own purposes, and we do not do marketing towards any of the ticket buyers.
How does TicketCo store data?
We store data as part of the instructions from the event organiser, and as part of our ability to do business on behalf of them, in addition we store the data according to applicable local laws for accounting and auditing purposes. Our terms and conditions, and our privacy policy which follows from these, set out how we store and process data:
Does TicketCo store any credit card data?
We do not store any data related to credit cards, as that is handled by our payment service providers which have PCIDSS level 1 compliance.
