Getting started
If you want to start using the buyer profile page, please contact your Customer Success Manager or support@ticketco.net who will be able to activate the tool for you and provide you with some training.
When first setting up your profiles, you need to establish what kind of rules and options you want in place for your fans. You'll find various options and alternatives under the Buyer profile settings tab under Organizer settings. First, under Access to profile, you can select if you want to display a login icon at the top of your TicketCo pages or not:
Select Show if you want this icon to display across all events, and Hide, if you do not want it visible. You can then choose if you want registrations to be Invitation Only, meaning only those you invite can create a profile, or if they could be Open meaning available for anyone to sign up.
Next, you can select your default event setting under Require profile to view: Optional indicates that a profile is not required to purchase tickets, whereas Event demands that everyone either create a profile or login with their existing profile as standard in order to purchase tickets. Beneath that, you can select to activate Friends and Family if you want your fans to be able to build a network around them for sharing and distributing tickets.
Registration form settings
Under Registration form, you can select which categories and data fields you want to include for anyone signing up to an account. You will see some fields are selected as default, and others can be dragged up if you want to include them in the list. When clicking on a field, you can choose to adjust the name under Label (for example if you want to adjust "ZIP" to "Postcode"), and you can select whether it is an optional or mandatory field. If there are specific data fields you require outside of this predetermined list, please get in touch and we will work with you to ensure all relevant data fields are in place for you.
How does this look for the end user?
|
If you chosen to activate the login tool on your event pages, and someone wants to sign up to your club through TicketCo, they will see a form similar to this. The form will reflect the fields you have chosen to include under your Buyer profile settings tab. |
Locking events behind profile registration
If you want to demand that all purchasers must either login or register an account in order to purchase, you can either select Event under Require profile to view (thus updating your default event settings) or you can go into a specific event and use the Buyers Profiling Settings set to mode event_page.
Doing so, will introduce a pop-up on the event page which looks a little similar to this:
Once a user has either signed up using the registration form, or has signed in with an existing login, they will be able to continue with the purchase flow as usual.
Fan home page
Once logged in, the user will see a couple of options when clicking on their profile symbol:
| The Home button will display their active and historic purchases, and will display some options such as Friends and Family if that has been activated. My profile is where the user can see their profile details and verify their email and/or phone number. |
In this example, James has bought some tickets to an upcoming match, so he sees those displayed under the My tickets section on his homepage:
Here, he can view the QR-code for each ticket and also download them to his Apple Wallet. From an admin perspective, you will be able to view a list of purchases and data on the fan themselves under the Manage Profiles tab in the main menu. It may look something like this:
Manage Profiles tab
When you start using fan profiles in the platform, you will likely find the Manage Profiles tab very helpful. This is where you can invite new users to create profiles, see an overview of your existing fan base, and search up specific fans. On the main page, you can use the Profiles search bar to find and view specific users, such as Chloe here:
The data assigned to Chloe's user is displayed at the top of her page.
If you head back a step to the Manage Profiles page, and then head to Total profiles, you can then see a list of all profiles, including an overview of number of purchases, contact details and status:
Inviting fans to create profiles
If you want to invite certain fans to create a profile, you can use the Invite users tool at the top of the page. Here you can type in or upload a CSV file containing multiple email addresses, and also provide an invite text which will be sent out to your invitees:
If you have already sent out some invites, you will see Invited as the Status on that record in the fan overview list. Those who have logged in and verified their contact details will be recorded as Verified and any others you have signed up but not yet verified their contact details will be Not verified.
NB! A fan can verify their account under My profile.
Using the three dots at the top of the list, you can also select to do a bulk resend of invites if you need:
From this overview page, you can also download a list of your fan base using the Download CSV tool at the top of the page.
Sharing tickets and creating a network
Once up and running with profiles, you might find that fans want to create a network around them so they can distribute tickets to the relevant ticket holders. If you have activated the Friends and Family toggle under Buyer profile settings, they will be able to invite family members and friends to join their network.
|
They will head to their Home page and then the Friends and Family tab where they can use the Send Email button and then input the email to send the invite to. The recipient of the invite can then complete their profile, and will see their newly established network under their own Friends and Family tab. To distribute tickets between members of the same network, the user can use the More options button on their tickets and then select Share ticket: |
From there, any tickets shared with network members will be marked as such on the overview page:
As an admin, you will see any Friends and Family connections reflected on your profiles dashboard:
Upgrading tickets
You will also notice that if you have established any upgrade options on your ticket types, that these will be possible to purchase from the user homepage under the More options menu. Please get in touch with us if you would like to investigate this option and don't see it on your ticket types.
Once activated, the upgrading option will allow you to input new pricing rows on your ticket types so you can define the price of upgrading from that particular ticket type to another category. Selecting Channel online will present the upgrading options on the fan homepage.
Note you can input the price of the upgrade, the fee and VAT % just as you normally would when pricing a ticket, and you can input multiple rows on the same ticket e.g. if you want to allow upgrades from a child ticket to a student ticket and also to an adult ticket.
