Track hits and sales on your event
You can use our Tracking Links feature to create some URLs which will track hits and sales on your event page. If you are working with a partner company who are advertising your events for you, or if you want to promote your event on social media and measure the resultant traffic, then Tracking Links can be a very useful tool.
Monitor hits and sales on your event
You will find Tracking Links by heading to one of your events, then clicking Promote. You will see a page such as this:
The table at the top of the page will display the overall marketing stats for your event, including number of hits, number of sales and the conversion rate. Underneath this table is where your individual tracking links and statistics will be displayed.
Create new URLS for tracking
If you are working with a partner company or promoter, you may want to gather stats on how many of your total event sales came through their promotions. Equally you might want to promote your event on Facebook or Instagram, and monitor how successful those promotions are in terms of hits and sales on your page. You can create specific tracking links for these purposes.
To create a new link, select Create new tracking link found at the top of the page:
You will then see some text fields appear:
Under Name you can label your tracking link (this is only visible to you, not your shoppers) e.g. "Social Media Promotion" or "Tourist information link".
The UUID field will populate automatically based on the name of the campaign, although you can edit this manually. Note that this will form the latter part of the URL you will share/promote, so be mindful of the terminology you use, and make sure to use correct URL formatting (no spaces, capital letters etc.).
If you want, you can choose to input a figure for your Marketing Budget. This figure will be used to calculate "Costs per click" and "Campaign costs" once your promotion is active.
Save your tracking link when done. You can always edit and delete once saved.
Copy and share!
You can then use the grey Copy link button to copy the URL to your clipboard. Now you can share it on your social media accounts, or send it to your promoters so that they can start advertising your event!
And that's it! You can now monitor the hits and sales on your event, both overall, and from your individual tracking links.
