Contacting your ticket buyers
Once ticket sales are underway, you may wish to inform your ticket buyers of some key information regarding your event. Perhaps they should be informed where they can park, or you need to let them know of a change in the schedule; or if you are hosting a TMS digital event, you might want to remind them how to view the show.
Contact attendees
You can send out an email to your ticket buyers by using the Contact attendees feature. Navigate to the relevant event and select Contact attendees.
You will then see a page like this:
Here is where you can compose an email which will be sent out to your ticket buyers. Emails are sent to the ticket buyers on the email addresses that they registered upon purchase. The email will be sent out to all ticket buyers on the event, so if you would rather contact only a select few guests, then you should use an email tool such as MailChimp instead.
Subject
Enter the subject of your email here. It is often a good idea to write the event name in the email subject so that your ticket buyers know which event the email is regarding.
Email body
You can then enter the body of your email under What is your question?. You can use the formatting tools in order to customise the body text (hyperlinks, bold, italics etc.), or you can simply copy and paste in a text if you have already drafted the email somewhere else.
Sending
Once you are happy with your email, you can click the yellow Send button in the top right.
Note that the email will be registered as being sent out from the email address attached to your user. That means that if your customers reply to the email, the reply will come to your email address. It is therefore worth checking that the email address you have registered on your user is up-to-date, and that it is the appropriate email address for ticket buyers to contact you on.
You may wish to consider having an email address specifically for the box office/ticket office, rather than using your personal email.
