In this article, we will explain everything you need to do in order to add your own legal terms to one of your events.
Setting up your legal terms
In order to add your own legal terms to one of your events you first need to create them in the system. This is done outside your event so that you can easily reuse your legal terms at a later date.
To add your legal terms go to Organizer settings in the main menu and click Legal terms on the left-hand side. Here you can add multiple different legal terms for different purposes. To create a new one-click Create new legal terms. Once you've done this you should see the screen pictured above.
TITLE
This is the name of this specific legal terms and is also the title of the document your customers see when viewing your legal terms.
SEND PDF?
If you enable this option your legal terms will be attached to the email containing the purchase confirmation.
DATA COLLECTION DISCLAIMER
If this option is enabled your customers will not be forced to accept the legal terms before paying. This is often used for scenarios where you do not require explicit consent (i.e checking the box) from the customer.
If you enable this option the customer will not have to accept your legal terms in order to purchase your tickets
PDF
You have two options when it comes to the content of your legal terms. The first is uploading a PDF that we will display to your purchasers if they choose to view it.
CONTENT
The second option is to enter the content of your legal terms if you are not using a PDF version of your legal terms.
Enabling the legal terms on your event
As different types of tickets and services might require different legal terms you have to enable your legal terms per ticket type. To do this simply go into your event, then to the settings of your ticket types and enable your legal terms at the bottom of your settings.
And that's it! Your legal terms are ready to go and your customers should now see your legal terms when purchasing
